actual vs mileage auto deduction
Is there any way to reverse the election to take depreciation for auto expense? Can you amend the original return to change the election to mileage within a certain time frame? thank you.

Irrevocable election
The decision to use the actual mileage method in the first year of vehicle business use is an irrevocable election, meaning you can not change your mind about it and file an amended tax return with the standard mileage method reported instead.
