Claiming additional state tax on Federal Return
In 2011 I paid additional 2010 state tax when I filed the state tax. When I filed my 2010 Federal tax in 2011 I only claimed the state tax that I had paid in 2010. How do I claim the additional state tax that I paid? I itemize deductions.

State income tax paid
Yes, that would be an itemized deduction for you in the tax year that it is paid in. Not the tax year that it is paid for. So if you pay 2010 state tax in 2011, it gets deducted on your 2011 return as an itemized deduction on your federal return.
