Hi,

Am I able to write off my phone/internet/rent if I work from home a percentage of the time? To that end, gas/electric? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you could write off that portion of your assets that you are putting to use for business purposes. Such as your internet and telephone charges.

The home utilities is different. You would have to have a room set aside exclusively for business use to qualify for this write off. If you did, then you would write off that portion of your utilities that could be allocated to that area of your home. Likewise with all other home related expenses, i.e., renters insurance, rent, etc.
